This little tidbit came my way recently.
Just consider for a moment that we all have 8 great
grand-parents and 128 fifth great grand parents. If we
keep on this type of computation we find that we have
2,113,536 ancestors (unless cousins have intermarried)
by the time we get to the 21st generation about 600
years ago.
In 25 generations we would reach a number of ancestors
in excess of 30 million.
You hear people say our genealogy is all done.
REALLY!!
I do not know if this little description of family history takes into consideration that we all have multiple ancestors in common. But one thing is sure - no one has a complete pedigree. We all have very large family trees and to discover the accurate and documented ancestry of any of us, will take much skilled research effort, availability of records and persistence to keep on digging for our roots.
Heirlines.com can help you professionally climb your family tree.
